Thank you for your interest in the Motherdom Membership Scheme (the “Membership Scheme”) and for completing the application form at https://anna841725.typeform.com/to/AxzPW9bq (the “Membership Application”).  The Membership Scheme offers an opportunity for maternal health and wellness professionals to sign up, become a member (“Member”) and receive a number of unique membership benefits (the “Benefits”) as outlined in the Membership Benefits section below.  Requests to join the Membership Scheme shall be subject to you meeting the criteria outlined in Membership Criteria section below and all Membership Applications shall be accepted or rejected at the sole discretion of Motherdom.

These terms are between Motherdom C.I.C. (“us”, “we”, “Motherdom”) a company registered in England and Wales under registration number 11687109 and you, the person named on the website when you submit your Membership Application (“you”).

By submitting your Membership Application form online, you hereby agree to be bound by these Membership Scheme Terms and Conditions.  Upon our review and acceptance of your Membership application (as notified to you via email), a legally binding contract will be formed between us and you incorporating these Membership Scheme Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”).

Throughout this Agreement, any words with Capital Letters are defined terms and shall have the meaning given to them in (“bold”) immediately preceding them.

membership cost and payment

In consideration for the payment of your annual membership fee (the “Fee”), Motherdom shall provide you with the Benefits for the duration of your time as a Member.   Your first day of being a Member will be the day your Fee is processed, and this Agreement continues until it is terminated in accordance with the ‘Ending Our Relationship’ section below. 

The Fee that you will pay for the Membership Scheme shall be in the amount outlined on our website when you submit your Membership Application.  The Fee will be confirmed to you via email if we accept your Membership Application.  Motherdom reserve the right to change the Fee that we charge from time to time but will always notify you in advance of any increase in the Fee.  If you are not happy with the Fee change then you have the right to cancel this Agreement at any time and can do so in accordance with the ‘Ending Our Relationship’ section below.

If we accept your Membership Application, we will send you an email requesting you to securely enter your debit or credit details to allow our payment processor Stripe to collect your first Fee.  This card will then be charged yearly for your Fee as long as this Agreement remains in place and your Membership is active.  Each annual Fee will be collected on the same date of each year (in accordance to the date you first signed up) and all Fees are non-refundable.

Your first day of being a Member shall be the day your first Fee is processed, and this Agreement continues until it is terminated in accordance with the ‘Ending Our Relationship’ section below.

As outlined above, acceptance onto the Membership Scheme shall be at Motherdom’s sole discretion and we reserve the right to accept or reject each Membership Application as we see fit.  We expect all our Members to comply with high standards to ensure that users of the Motherdom website and your potential customers receive the best standard of care.  As a minimum, we expect all our Members to:

  1. Be a practising maternal health or wellness professional in the UK;
  2. Be offering your services as an individual practitioner; 
  3. Have an appropriate qualification, relevant to your field;
  4. Be accredited by a recognised professional body;
  5. Hold professional indemnity and public liability insurance with appropriate levels of cover; and
  6. Have at least 3 years’ experience in your particular field.

We do recognise that for non-clinical professionals, qualifications and accreditation may not be relevant in all sectors and we will review these applications on a case-by-case basis.  We reserve the right to ask you for further information and evidence in relation to all of the membership criteria outlined above and for any additional information we may request when evaluating your Membership Application.

If you cease to hold any of the Membership Criteria that is outlined above or any other Membership Criteria that is agreed with Motherdom from time to time, then you must immediately notify us in writing (which includes email) of this and the reason why you can no longer comply with our Membership Criteria. We may also from time to time ask you to confirm to us that all Membership Criteria that has been agreed is still valid and in place during the term of this Agreement.

If Motherdom accepts your Membership Application, then we are delighted to welcome you onto our Membership Scheme. You can read all about our Benefits on our website at https://motherdom.co.uk/membership.  Our Benefits are not fixed and will likely change from time to time for a number of reasons and we therefore reserve the right to amend the Benefits from time to time (including our Directory outlined below).  Any changes to the Benefits will be shown on the webpage mentioned in this paragraph above and you should regularly check this page for an up to date list.

As part of our Membership Scheme, we offer an online database of Members that will be available to view by any user of the Motherdom website (the “Directory”).  On the Directory we will display information about you including your full name, your field, your photograph, your location (e.g. ‘Hertfordshire’), a brief description of the goods or services that your offer, (including the price range), whether you offer your services online, and any contact details that you consent to us displaying to our website users.

We aim to ensure that the Directory is available, accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that your information will be available on the Directory 24/7.  Although we use reasonable endeavours to ensure that the Directory is available on our website at all times, the Directory is available on an “as is” basis.

It is your sole responsibility to ensure that your contact details remain accurate and up to date and in the event that your contact details change, please contact us at anna@motherdom.co.uk and we will change these details on our Directory as soon as we reasonably can.

By becoming a Member under the Membership Scheme, you are not a member of Motherdom under its articles of association.

contracting with our website users

As our Directory will contain contact details about you, this will allow the opportunity for users of our website and anyone who views the Directory to contact you.  We have no control over who can access our website or the Directory and therefore as a result we are in no way responsible for anyone that contacts you either directly or indirectly. 

In the event that you agree to provide your goods or services to someone that has contacted you either directly or indirectly from our Directory, then Motherdom will not be a party to that contract for goods or services and any dispute should be resolved between you and your customer.

standards for contracting with your customer

Any goods or services that you deliver to a customer should be delivered with the highest level of care and skill and in accordance with all best practice and guidance in your relevant field or industry.  We reserve the right to immediately terminate this Agreement in the event that we receive a complaint from a user of the Directory and upon investigation we deem, in our sole discretion, that the goods or services that you deliver do not meet the high standards we expect.

intellectual property rights

Motherdom (or our licensors) own all of intellectual property rights on our website and in the material published on it. Those works are protected by copyright laws and treaties around the world and in England and Wales under the Copyright, Design and Patents Act 1998.  You must not copy any of the material on our website without our written permission and all our rights are reserved.


From time to time we may need to make changes to this Agreement and when we do so, we will always notify you of any changes that we have made and the date that such changes will take effect.  We do not require your further consent to do this but if you are unhappy about any changes that we make then you can end this Agreement in accordance with the ‘Ending Our Relationship’ section below.

ending our relationship

Either of us can end our contractual relationship by giving notice to the other, in writing, to end this Agreement. A notice to end this Agreement should be sent via email and in accordance with the ‘Notices’ section of this Agreement.

Except as we have outlined in the paragraph below, termination will take place on the last day of your current billing cycle meaning no Fees should be taken for the following year when you are not a Member. In the event any Fees are taken in these circumstances, then please let us know and we will refund any Fees that have been collected in error.

We reserve the right to immediately terminate this Agreement in the event that:

  1. You cease to hold any Membership Criteria that is outlined above which you held at the time of your Membership Application, or any other Membership Criteria that we have agreed with you from time to time; or
  2. We deem that any goods or services you have delivered to our website users do not meet the high standards we expect; or
  3. We reasonably suspect or establish that any information you have provided to us or evidence about your credentials is not accurate.

If we elect to exercise this right of termination, then we will email you with confirmation that this Agreement has been terminated.

data privacy

All personal data that we collect and process under this Agreement, is done so in accordance with our Privacy Policy which you can view online at https://motherdom.co.uk/privacy.  This Privacy Policy is included as part of this Agreement and therefore forms part of the Agreement.

Motherdom act as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor in connection with the various services we deliver both inside and outside the scope of this Agreement.  For the Motherdom Directory, we act as the Data Controller and you hereby consent to your personal data being stored by Motherdom and displayed and used as part of our Directory. Any personal data processed in accordance with this Agreement will also be done so for the performance of a contract between us and you.

In the event you wish to exercise any of your rights under any applicable data protection legislation (such as the GDPR or the Data Protection Act 2018), then you can so in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

warranties and liability

We implement Membership Criteria to ensure that the users of our website can take a level of assurance that the Members displayed on our Directory are of a high standard and have appropriate insurances and qualifications in place (where relevant), related to your goods and/or services.  You therefore warrant to Motherdom that all the information you provide to Motherdom in connection with this Agreement is accurate and up to date.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Motherdom hereby exclude all implied conditions, warranties, representations or other terms that may apply to our website, the Directory and our Membership Scheme.  We will not be liable to you for any loss or damage, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty, or otherwise, arising under or in connection with:

  • a rejected Membership Application;
  • termination of this Agreement;
  • any loss of profits, sales, business, or revenue;
  • loss of agreements or contracts;
  • any claims by a user of the Motherdom website or Directory;
  • business interruption;
  • loss of anticipated savings;
  • loss of business opportunity, goodwill or reputation; or
  • any indirect or consequential loss or damage.

Our maximum liability in connection with this Agreement, whether in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, shall be limited to the total Fees paid by you to Motherdom in the 12 months immediately preceding any claim that you make.


Any notices delivered under this Agreement should be in writing, sent via email and sent directly to the other party.  Notices sent to Motherdom should be sent to anna@motherdom.co.uk and we will send any notices for you, to the email address you submit with your Membership Application.  If you wish to change the email address that we send your notices to, then you must let us know of any new address in writing (which includes letting us know via email).

governing law and disputes

This Agreement shall be interpreted in accordance with the laws of English and Wales and all disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales.
